“I love it here.”
Those are the first words we spoke when we got out of our car at Young Living’s lavender farm in Mona, Utah. It’s true. We love it there.
I’m not sure if it’s the scenery or the fields that captured our hearts first. But looking to the east across acres and acres of lavender and clary sage your eyes are drawn to the snowcapped mountain range where Mt. Nebo towers over the landscape.
Walking around the farm is a real treat for your entire family. There’s beautiful flower gardens, streams, ponds, a lavender garden where you can get up close and personal with the plants, and even a jousting arena. Yes, there’s a fully functional medieval jousting arena and at special dates throughout the year (like at Convention) you can actually watch Young Living’s founder, Gary Young participate!
One very special highlight for us during this second visit was seeing the distillery up close and in action. During our visit juniper and blue yarrow were being stilled and we had the opportunity to watch the process (see the video).
Visiting the farm reminded us of why we feel so connected to Young Living. Seeing the Seed To Seal process in person gives you new appreciation for the quality of our essential oils, where they come from and the care that’s given to ensure their purity. We intend to make this an annual stop for us and encourage you to visit it, too.
