I was inspired to write this post based on a fun Facebook thread I participated in today. It started with a post I made about the benefits of building your own business in network marketing, and one of my Facebook friends (thanks, Danielle!) commented about what a shame it is that we don’t teach about network marketing high school business or entrepreneurial classes.
In response to that, it made me realize there is an opportunity to help students discover alternative career possibilities and to share how the skills they learn are not only transferrable to other jobs, but are incredibly marketable, making them more valuable (read “make more money”). The strategies and tactics you learn in network marketing make you much more effective in almost any career or field you choose!
That’s when my the light went off for me. I love working with young adults and had numerous opportunities at previous jobs to do that. Since moving on, those opportunities are fewer now, so I thought, why not continue doing that? After all, I’ve known for a long time that I’m a coach. It’s who I am and what I do, almost instinctively. I believe it is my spiritual gift – my calling – a gift from God.
To that end, I’m available speak to your civic group, present to your classroom or even at your business. This could be a “lunch and learn” setting or for a specific event. Here are some topics I cover:
- Discovering Your Purpose
- In this session, I’ll provide strategies to inspire and challenge you to find what you’re most passionate about and how you can begin to pursue that in your personal or professional life using simple questions, introspection and an “accountabuddy.”
- The Business of Network Marketing
- What is network marketing? How does it work? Is it legit? I’ll cover topics on what it takes to be successful, what skills you need, what classes should you take (and do especially well in!), and the reality that it’s like any other business – success comes from hard work, resilience and personal growth.
I’m working on building my skills as a presenter, so opportunities to hone the craft are exciting (and a little scary) to me. I promise you, however, it will be inspiring and fun.
I’ll continue to add more topics as I continue chasing my own dream. I look forward to hearing from you. Send me a text, email or use the old fashioned way… a phone call for more information or to have a cup of coffee.
